Annual Conference Winter Forum 2025
The Heidelberg Graduate School for the Humanities and Social Sciences (HGGS) cordially invites members of the six participating faculties and guests to the HGGS WINTER FORUM on 20 January 2025 from 3 pm (s.t.) in the Senate Hall and Alte Aula, Grabengasse 1, 69117 Heidelberg.
On this day, the HGGS, with its more than 100 doctoral candidates from 35 countries, will introduce itself to all interested members of Heidelberg University. In the first part of the programme, selected new doctoral candidates of the HGGS, who represent the broad spectrum of innovative junior research at Heidelberg University, will showcase their interdisciplinary dissertation projects in a short format. Afterwards, we cordially invite you to a discussion round and to exchange ideas with HGGS members and faculty members over an afternoon snack.
At 6.00 pm, we would like to invite you to the lecture »Education as positive Freedom: Competence, Equal Opportunities and Well-Being«by Prof. Dr. Anne Sliwka, HGGS Board Member. The lecture will take place as part of the Ruperto Carola lecture series and the university will offer guests a simultaneous translation into English.
