The Discussion Group: Us and Them warmly invites you to be part of a dynamic and engaging community where we dive into the dynamics of this year’s Summer Forum theme: “Us and Them.” This group is about creating an open, welcoming space for curiosity, learning, and conversation. Whether you’re well-versed in the topic or just willing to explore it, this is your opportunity to:

Share insights and ideas in discussions with fellow PhDs about selected articles related to the theme. - Learn from Experts
Meet professors and experts who will join us to share their knowledge and spark conversations about their work on the dynamics of “Us and Them.” - Broaden Your Horizons
Participate in excursions to museums, institutions, and other venues that bring fresh and different perspectives to our discussions and deepen our understanding of the topic. -
Key Details
Who can join? PhDs from all disciplines.When? Meetings will take place weekly or bi-weekly starting in the Summer Semester 2025. Excursions may begin earlier, depending on availability.
What to expect? Topics and readings will be shared in advance so you can come prepared, but participation is designed to be flexible and inclusive of diverse levels of familiarity with the theme.
This discussion group is a chance to build connections, challenge ideas, and grow together as we explore what “Us and Them” means in today’s world. No prior knowledge is required—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to explore new ideas!
